Hello,

I hope everyone had a good weekend.  I did.

Let’s get t work.  I had two service calls this weekend.  One was a tough one.  When I got there the customer had no Internet connection on both notebooks.   One was a HP notebook and the other was a Dell.  Neither notebook could see the Internet.  The customer had broadband connection.  Norton Anti Virus was installed and was about to expire.  So I had to remove my old friend Norton and reboot several times.  Norton Anti-Virus no matter what flavor will from my experience shut down your Internet connection if it is about to expire and or it detects a virus.  I have seen Norton shut down your Internet connection if it is out dated too.  So when you remove Norton you need to go to the add/remove program and un-install it.  Reboot and you need to get the un-install utility from here, just click  here now.

Depending on the version of Norton that you have, download the version you need to remove Norton.  The reason you need to do this is because it is recommend by Norton.  They realize Norton embeds very deeply into the registry that the normal add/remove process does not work.  Now after you download the Norton utility, run it and reboot.  Now you system is clean of Norton.  You may notice your system running a little faster.  I always notice after removing Norton the computer runs a lot faster and is more stable.  Most of the virus related calls that I get can be traced back to the installed Anti-Virus package that was installed on the computer when original purchase.  Most computer manufacturers installed a trial version of Norton McAfee etc.  After30-60 days the Anti-Virus is not currently protecting your computer.  You will get constant reminders but if you never renew you will get infected.  I get these calls all of time and the computer is 9 time out of 10 infected.  So if this is happening to you and you know you are infected or think you might be infected.  Before it is two late you need to get these two programs that I use successfully all the time.  Follow these steps.

1.  Remove any Anti-Virus that you currently have and reboot.

2. Purchase this inexpensive Mal-ware removal software.  Go here.

Follow instructions. Run complete scan.  Reboot.  Go to Step 3.

3. Purchase this Anti-Virus program that works and will not slow your system down.  I use it and it works.  Go here.

You are now protected from online threats and you have save yourself a lot of money.  My average service calls run around $300.00 and more.  The two recommend programs I recommend total only cost 64.90.

It is pay now or lot more lately.

Stay Tune for my next post.
